Grief and Loss

Grief is an individualized process that can be difficult to navigate. It is important to allow yourself to feel the emotions that come with grief. Experiencing these emotions is integral to healing We must come to terms with our loss and celebrate the experience shared with the one we have lost; we must acknowledge lessons, remind ourselves of the love shared and the memories created.

Grief can be difficult to navigate; however, one must engage supports and utilize all that is placed in front of us to get to the other side of the grief felt.

Here are some tips for coping with grief and loss:

  • Allow yourself to feel the emotions that come with grief.

  • Seek support from family and friends.

  • Join a support group.

  • Take care of yourself by eating well, exercising, and getting enough sleep.

  • Find ways to honor your loved one’s memory

How will we get to "the other side of our grief", how do we honor the memory of our lost one, how do we celebrate the life of our lost one in an inspiring manner?

Each of us are different and our choices will be different; however, the outcome can be the same...... encountering and embracing the healing process.
